Please be advised that 220 will be conducting a Survival Training Exercise this weekend 14 - 16 October in Birds Hill Park. We will be utilising Group Use Area 1 Site 5. Due to unforeseen circumstances cadets will be returning to Minto earlier than originally planed. If Parents were planning on picking up at Birds Hill Park I ask that they pick up at Minto as the bus will be picking up the cadets at 0730hrs on Sunday so we are out of the park by 0800hrs. Cadets will complete the remainder of the exercise at Minto and will be available for pick up at 1500hrs.
We will have to hike in from the gate to our site so please ensure that you can carry your personal kit. Reminder that only F/Sgt's and above or cadets who have been on the SIC or Basic Survival Training courses are authorized to carry a knife.
If during the exercise you need to get a hold of your cadets you can call Capt Bambrick on the Squadron Cell 226-0139.
CELLULAR TELEPHONES OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES WILL STRICTLY BE PROHIBITED ON THE EXERCISE. YOU CAN CALL THE STAFF IF YOU NEED TO SPEAK WITH YOUR CHILD. ALL CELL PHONES FOUND DURING KIT INSPECTION WILL BE CONFISCATED AND LOCKED UP FOR THE DURATION OF THE EXERCISE. ANYONE FOUND WITH A CELL PHONE AT BIRDS HILL PARK WILL HAVE THEIR PHONE CONFISCATED AND A MEETING WITH THE COMMANDING OFFICER WILL BE REQUIRED PRIOR TO ATTENDING ANY FURTHER ACTIVITIES.
