Cadets Needed for Community Registration Day

Attention all cadets. RCSU Northwest needs your assistance this Saturday Sept 9th. We are looking for volunteers to attend the registration day at 17 Wing this Saturday to assist with recruiting efforts for all cadet units. this is an all day activity and lunch will be provided. It has been requested that cadets from 220 be in attendance to assist with numerous activities including running the Dream Flyer. Mr. Coad will be running that part of the display. Please see the email below for all the information on the event. Remember attendance to these events are reflected in your file and for those partaking in the Duke of Edinburgh program this can be used as part of your community service. Also there may be an oppertunity for you to be interveiwed on the radio about the cadet program.

Anyone who wants to volunteer are asked to call the Sqn Cell 204-226-0139 and leave a voice-mail message if there is no answer. I must know by Friday so i can pass the numbers on to the staff attending.

Thank you for your assistance

Capt Bambrick.

Good Day,

I am asking for approx 40 cadet volunteers for the 2013 Fall Fair.  They will be required to assist from 1000hrs - 1600hrs on Saturday the 7th of September.  Dress for the day will be weather dependant.  Cadets should plan to wear C7 and may be able to go in short sleeve order if it is a nice day.  Refreshments and lunch tickets will be provided to them.  This would be an excellent opportunity for the cadets who are enrolled in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program to get a few hours checked off toward their community service award.

Regarding the Recruiting portion of the fair, RCSU will be setting up a recruiting booth to highlight and provide information on all of the Winnipeg cadet corps and sqns.  Plans are also to have the Dreamflyer and Navy Simulator next to the recruiting booth.

We are looking for 40 cadets to help out with a variety of events throughout the day.  Cadets will be doing no manual labour, but will be assisting in areas like face painting, the bouncy castle, crafts, and the recruiting display.

This year this event will be bigger than last year.  Virgin 103.1 FM will be broadcasting from the event and Cadets may have an opportunity to be interviewed.

I know it is early in the year, however any assistance you could provide would be appreciated.  This is a great opportunity to showcase to the public the values, leadership and sense of civic duty that the Cadet Organization can instil in young men and women.

Responses would be appreciated soonest.
