Santa Parade Saturday November 16th
This is an optional
177/220 joint Squadron activity with the objective to promote the Cadet Program
as a fun youth organization within the community.
DROP
OFF POINT: Sherbrook and Portage
Ave by 4:00 pm (parade form up point). Personnel will be met by an officer where
they will walk east to the Cadet Float’s starting point (approximately Portage
& Furby).
No
meal will be provided.
Cadets should have eaten a meal prior to arrival.
CADETS
SHALL BE
DRESSED APPROPRIATELY TO BE OUTDOORS FOR
OVER 4 HOURS Wear layers: fleece lining/hoodie, long-sleeve shirt, long
johns, mitts, scarf, hiking shoes or runners with proper support and cushioning
as we will be standing for a long period of time on concrete waiting for our
turn to walk a total of over 4 kilometres.
Cadets may bring
cameras for the event; however the squadrons DO NOT accept responsibility for
lost or damaged property.
The parade ends at
The Forks (approximately 8:00pm).
PICK-UP
POINT: WAWENESA parking lot - 191 Broadway (north side of the building). Vehicles
can access this parking lot from the back alley off Fort St or Main St .
Cadets will wear civilian
clothing with Cadet-issue Gor-Tex parka, toque or ball cap. Cadets who do not
have a Cadet-issue jacket by parade date will wear a dark-coloured jacket.
