At the parents meeting on Monday we had samples of the t-shirts and jackets that we are planning on ordering for the 220 Squadron cadets and parents /guardians who wish to purchase them.

The cost of these items is, as follows

What’s up with the pricing?

As you can see, our cost to purchase these items, is actually higher than we are going to charge for the T-Shirts or Jackets.

Additionally, we are subsidizing both the T-Shirt and Jacket for the cadets.

220 Sqn Air Cadets will received their first T-Shirt for free, and will be able to purchase their first Jacket for only $20.

When will they arrive?

We have had many requests for “Christmas Delivery”. We will try to have the order back in time for Christmas, but our supplier says that they must receive the order no later than Tuesday, 25 Nov. Please make every effort to, at a minimum, provide us with the T-Shirt size information for your cadet(s). We really want to give them each a free T-Shirt for Christmas!

Why are the prices so low?

We do not view these items as “fund raisers” rather we view them as advertising. We want all the cadets to have something affordable that they can wear which identifies them as members of our team: 220 Sqn Air Cadets.

How do I qualify for subsidized clothing?

As a new cadet, you will receive your free t-shirt as soon as you have completed the signup paper work and are officially a 220 Sqn team member. You won’t have to wait at all before you can wear Sqn clothing.

Cadets can purchase their subsidized Jacket at any time.

Please Sir, can I have some more?

What if I want a second T-Shirt or to buy a Jacket for my cousin/sibling?

Additional T-Shirts and Jackets may be purchased at the “Non-Cadet” price at any time.

But, the dog ate my shirt/jacket?

Convince us that something tragic happened to your clothing and, on a case by case basis, we will “reset the clock” for you - you’ll get another free t-shirt, or be able to purchase another jacket at the “Cadet” price.

But what about . . . .

We don’t have all the kinks worked out of the system yet, and the rules for “subsidized” clothing (t-shirts, jackets) will likely evolve. This is just how it stands right now.

For example, we will likely want to include an “it’s too small” clause for tall teens! Suggestions? Perhaps a T-Shirt or even Jacket Exchange?

I hope you’ve sized your cadet, and I encourage you to purchase a jacket. Just PLEASE return the T-Shirt size information (and order form?) Monday night, 24 Nov.
