The Winnipeg Area
Ground School will start on Wednesday, 21 October 2015. The sessions will be conducted at 17 Wing in
Building 135. Access to the base will be
via the main gate located at 715 Wihuri Road.
Participation is limited to cadets who will meet the requirements to
attend either the Glider Pilot or Power Pilot Scholarship Courses during the
summer of 2016. Prerequisites to attend either course are as follows:
Power Pilot Scholarship:· 17 years old by September 1st of the year the course is taken
· level four successfully completed by the end of the current training year
· Grade 10 or equivalent
· The maximum weight for a student pilot is 111.13 kg
Glider Pilot Scholarship:

16
years old by September 1st of the year the course is taken· level three successfully completed by the end of the current training year
· Grade 9 or equivalent
· minimum: height 152.4 cm, weight 40.82 kg
· maximum: height 190.5 cm, weight 90.72 kg
Further information regarding the Winnipeg Area Ground School (such as timings) will be provided on Monday, 19 October 2015 during the closing parade.
