Friends and families are cordially invited to celebrate the 75th anniversary of air cadets by attending a Freedom of the City Ceremony and a Canadian Flags and Banners Ceremony on Saturday, June 11, 2016. The Freedom of the City Ceremony will be held at Winnipeg City Hall at 11:00 a.m. and the Canadian Flags and Banners Ceremony will be held at the Manitoba Legislature grounds at 3:00 p.m. Both ceremonies will be performed by approximately three hundred and fifty air cadets including a massed band, national flag party, provincial and territory flags party, squadron banners party and an honour guard.
Audience members are requested to be in place 30 minutes before the ceremony and advised to bring their own lawn chairs, sunscreen and dress for the weather.
