Biathlon Stage II on Saturday, 4 Nov at 17 Wing

Information for the Cadets competing in the Biathlon Stage II this Saturday at Building 21 on 17 Wing. Ness and Whytewold entrance!

Please make note of the kit list;

BIATHLON KIT LIST
1. The following is a list of all competitors. This list reflects additional requirements in the event of inclement weather:

  • a. Toque / Headband, Scarf, Gloves / Mitts;
  • b. Winter Parka;
  • c. Sweat Pants / Track Pants / Wind Pants (a combination) NO JEANS;
  • d. T-Shirts / Turtleneck / Sweaters / Windbreaker (a combination);
  • e. Wool socks and sport socks (layered) (bring extra);
  • f. Change of Footwear (Running Shoes);
  • g. Long Underwear (thermal suggested);
  • h. CHANGE OF CLOTHES (for athletes after race); and
  • i. Water bottle.

2. The following is the Team Equipment list:

  • a. Air Rifles IAW Refs C and F;
  • b. Spotting Scope and tripod;
  • c. Safety glasses;
  • d. Rifle slings are permitted; and
  • e. Snacks for competitors (if desired).

3. Please note the following items are prohibited:

  • a. Knives or prohibited weapons of any kind;
  • b. Energy drinks; and
  • c. Drugs and alcohol IAW Ref E

TIMINGS
0830 Teams arrive / unload kit / in-clearance routine
0930 – 0945 hrs Safety briefing
0945 – 1000 hrs Coaches briefing
1000 – 1030 hrs Zeroing for Male competitors
1045 – 1230 hrs Male race
1130 – 1330 hrs Lunch concurrently
1245 – 1315 hrs Zeroing for female competitors
1330 – 1530 hrs Female race
1530 – 1545 hrs Jury meeting
1530 – 1600 hrs Clean up, prepare for departure
1600 hrs Departure
